Wanda’s Journey Around Australia
Honouring stories. Building connection. Driving action.
Wanda is travelling across Australia to meet people living with MND, their families, those who’ve lost loved ones, and community members — listening to stories and strengthening a national movement of hope and support.
Helping Clinicians Diagnose MND Correctly
We’re promoting ThinkMND - a form designed to help clinicians recognise MND sooner. Early diagnosis matters because it gives people faster access to therapies, multidisciplinary care, and supports that can extend quality and length of life.
Lived Experience Supporting Research
By collecting lived experiences and clinician reports from regional communities, Cause2Cure aims to help researchers spot patterns, ask new questions, and deepen understanding of MND and its possible causes. Real stories and clinical data together make research stronger.
Why Regional Australia Matters
MND is not rare — about 1 in 200 Australians will die from MND each year. Regional communities show higher rates of MND, suggesting environmental or occupational risk factors may be involved. That’s why targeted clinician support and better data from regional areas are essential.
Advocating for Long‑Term Funding and Better Data
Cause2Cure is pushing for stronger State and Federal support, sustained research investment, and a national MND reporting system. Better, consistent data will help researchers track trends, identify hotspots, and accelerate progress toward causes and cures.
